The Tjanpi Desert Weavers make baskets and sculptures from a combination of native desert grasses, seed, feathers, commercially bought raffia (sometimes dyed with native plants), string and wool. They are unique, innovative and constantly evolving. Each one an exquisite artwork, so much so that at Aboriginal Contemporary we often hang them on walls, especially the ones with emu feather fringes!
