Opening Night - 'Country in Colour'!

For those of you who weren't able to make it on Thursday here are a few pictures from the night!  The show 'Country in Colour' will be in the gallery for the next couple of weeks, so pop in and have a look.  The show is a mix of both established and emerging artists from Mangkaja Arts in Western Australia.  I first came across this art centre just over a year ago through an artist called Cory Surprise, who was represented by Mangkaja Arts.  I fell in love with Cory's work through her abstract style, bold use of colour and free brush strokes and subsequently found that this style was true of many of Mangkaja's artists.
Mangkaja Arts was also one of the main contributing art centre's for the Canning Stock Route Show.
You can see the show on the web site www.thegalleryshop.com.au
