Story from the certificate of authenticity:
Alison Riley explains 'Ngura Wiryunya, Mai Putitja Tjuta - that means 'Good country, lots of bush food. We got good Country there - food and birds and everything.'
Mrs Riley is from Pukatja Community, also known as Ernabella, on the APY Lands (Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara). In this work she is rememberingthe time before the introduction of buffel grass and other foreign flora and fauna, which have spread and over taken native plants which were vital sources of food for Anangu.
